This new functionality is reserved for our Clients who use the HIPE price calculation module.
HIPE now allows Administrators to configure the list of machines that will be used by Alicia, our pricing module. In other words, Administrators are now autonomous in defining the operating range, potentially up to defining a single compatible manufacturing circuit for a given Product.
It is now possible to create a machine rate in HIPE to define the compatibility between the Product and the Machine.
It can be created as a "default rate", which is the average rate for the machine.
It can be created as a "custom rate", which will be the specific machine rate for THIS product. This is particularly useful when it is necessary to differentiate the manufacturing cost between a simple die-cut or a folding-gluing packaging concept and a more complex one: set-up time, output, waste can be parameterized to reflect the industrial reality
On the other hand, removing a machine rate for a Product removes the compatibility of the machine with that Product. This means that this machine can never again be chosen in the manufacturing process of this Product.
